装置刚启动时，首先在较低的压力下空气和冷凝水流过疏水阀，通过入口孔托起阀片，再由出口孔排出，当压力、温度上升后，内压上升，推动凝结水量增多，而增大流速，这时阀片下的静压降低，使阀片下落，蒸汽从出口孔中间由四周流向阀片和阀盖之间的间隙，进入压力室，将阀片压在密封环上，关闭阀门。当压力室的蒸汽温度降低，开始冷凝，使压力室内的压力降低，进口压力托起阀片，疏水阀开启进行排水。
Disc Trap
When starting the device,firstly,the air and condensed water willflow across steam trap under rather low pressure,and lift valveplate through the entrance hole,and then discharge from the exithole.After the pressure and temperature rise,the inner pressurewill also rise,and cause increased amount of condensed water andincreased flow rate,at the moment, the static pressure of valveplate declines which causes the drop of valve plate,and then,thesteam flows from all directions via the exit hole into the gapbetween the valve plate and the valve cover.After steam enters thepressure chamber,it shuts down the valve by pressing valve plateonto the sealing ring.When the steam temperature inside thepressure chamber begins descending and the steam begins tocongeal,the pressure declines in the pressure chamber,and the inletpressure lifets the valve plate,and then the steam trap opens anddischarge water.

2、凝结水负荷的安全系数一般为2～3倍。
3、正确安装、定期保养清除阀内污物，保证疏水阀正常工作和延长使用寿命。
